Living overseas taught me that cultures are shaped by ideas, beliefs and worldviews long before they are shaped by policies or programs. My calling and these experiences continue to motivate me and the way I think about communication. I want my writing to do more than communicate information—I want it to help people think deeply, love truth, and engage the world with wisdom.

The first thing I remember wasn’t the food. It was the table. Every inch of it covered with plates, bowls, bread, fruit, tea, salads, sweets – far more than any family could reasonably eat.
